Steve

Dispatch Manager

Our dispatch man Steve is a born and breed Taranaki boy, growing up in New Plymouth before moving to Auckland to finish school and start work as a storeman and driver for Farmers Trading, which was the start of Steve’s transport career.

In 2003 the Elliot family upped and came back to Taranaki, and in 2004 Steve started with Osflo in one of our spreaders, migrating into the dispatch hot seat in 2017. You will still find Steve in the dispatch seat, making sure our customers are getting their fert. Unless of course, the surf is up and instead of the office chair, he’ll be out chasing the waves on his stand-up paddleboard!

Tracey Thompson

Tracey

technical specialist

Tracey has an extensive background within farming and fertiliser. Most recently, she’s worked 5 years with Ballance.

Her experience started with BOP fertiliser back in 1999, before joining Summit Quinphos from 2002 until 2011.

Tracey has a strong interest in the science behind what we do. Her qualifications include a double degree in BSC and BA from Victoria University.

Along with many existing client relationships she also brings expertise in N-Cap compliance and reporting.

As an Inglewood local for some 20 years you may recognise her. She took a short break from the industry and set up her own local business Baby on the Move (which is still going strong).

Outside of business she also goes hard with being a mother of two and her passion for running. Having completed Twenty Half Marathons, Five Marathons and an Ironman event.

Georgina Maud

Georgina

Technical Specialist

Georgina moved to Taranaki in 2019 after hopping around between the Kapiti Coast, Austria, Lincoln University and Tekapo, and came onboard as an intern at Osflo whilst completing her Environmental Science degree from Massey University.

After her internship, Georgina came on board with Osflo fulltime as our very own Technical Services and has since completed courses covering sustainable nutrient management and farm environmental planning. She’s our resident mapping girl – so if you need your farm map done, hit her up! Outside of work, you’ll find her down in Hawera playing farm or jumping around the country visiting friends and family.

Mel

Group Business Development Manager

Mel is an Opunake girl at heart, who after studying in Tourism & Hospitality, returned to farming around the coast.

Mel tried her hand at competing in the Sharemilker of the Year awards and was able to rack up a few awards along the way.

When Mel decided on a change in career, she worked for LIC initially in account management then into the head office in Hamilton as Product Manager of MINDA. Coaching is a forte of Mel’s, as she has training in life coaching, ran a purpose-built training centre for the local Oil and Gas industry, and has coached in a gym too.

A traveler at heart, Mel has had roles that have sent her across the North and South Island and even further afield to Ireland. Mel’s sense of adventure has seen her travel to multiple countries, exploring other cultures while enjoying her photography and the outdoors.

Before jumping over to the Osflo and FBT team, Mel could be found managing the local Kaponga and New Plymouth Farm Source stores.
